The Web Designer track teaches the use of graphic design and visual conception software such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, graphic interfaces for editing websites and certain indispensable languages used in professional website editing, such as XHTML and JavaScript.
It is divided into three levels:
• basic knowledge of
graphic interfaces for the web, structure, content management and graphic prototyping of a website, categorized under Web Publisher (30 sessions),
• the main focus of the training includes
HTML editors recognized as the current standard for editing professional websites, as well as the languages XHTML and JavaScript. These skills are required for the position of Web Designer. (30 sessions)
• specialization in tools for editing
multimedia applications and tools used in interactivity (Flash 8 and its corresponding language ActionScript 2, Motion Graphics), categorized under Multimedia Publisher, which follows the other levels. (40 sessions).
web programming specialization options
Other options of specialization:
• Database programming in PHP / MySQL
Web Programmer Certification
Classic static websites (HTML) become simple business cards. The current demands made by businesses tend toward dynamic websites, which use databases and allow real-time management of information fluxes.
• Flash Platform (ActionScript 2.0, Flash
Lite, OOP, XML, Rich Internet Applications)
Web Developer Certification
Flash, with the language ActionScript 2.0, is an object-oriented development platform which offers the opportunity to develop interactive applications that utilize databases and function in a multiplatform environment.
This type of demand for multimedia sites and applications (interactive terminals, intelligent cameras, TV on the Internet, etc.) constitute the largest part of the market’s current and future demand.
prospects
The editing of websites and of multimedia content broadcast by wireless system to mobile terminals and mobile phones constitutes a huge market that is rapidly expanding.
The production of these multimedia content and applications destined for diffusion to mobile terminals and DTT (Digital Terrestrial Television) makes the development platform Flash-ActionScript 2 a relevant and major strategic interest.
Hence, the language AS2 is becoming a standard in the industry, thanks to its excellent algorithms for the compression of sound and video data (streaming) and to its multiplatform, object-oriented architecture.
